The District maintains approximately 27.8 acres of open space land situated throughout the Grove neighborhood (aka Aurora High Point at DIA subdivision). In addition, the District is responsible for maintaining the City-owned landscaping along the east side of Dunkirk Street, the west side of Himalaya Street and the landscaping in the medians on 64th Avenue (between Dunkirk Street and Himalaya Street). See District-maintained parks and open spaces marked in green on the map on the left.
The District also owns and is responsible for maintaining four storm water detention areas (which collect the storm water runoff from the streets) and the perimeter walls around the neighborhood.
